youth hunt
Hear In michigan we have a youth hunt In september That I look forward to every year! The reason I look forward to the youth hunt Is because my grandpa Is the one that takes me out on the youth hunt. The first year my uncle went with me one day and my grandpa the other. The first day when my uncle went with me we seen a buck but it was way to far away. the second day me and my grandpa didn't see any thang. the second year me and my grandpa probably seen 30 does both days but no buck's. This year I hope to be more sucessful and bag a buck.I will blog both days and post pictures.

zoo in progress
this is my new turkey black beard.

Here at my house I have been taking care of a bunch of animals. so much that me and my mom joke around and say that we are going to have a zoo. so much that we bought a gumball machine at a garage sale so family and firends can feed the animals. this will be fun and i can get monyat the same time.i bought my blue slate turkey for 25 dollors at a bird show, bought the peacock for 25 and got the turkey ( black beard) and goats for free. ive done pretty good I think i am having fun it also gives me somthing to do this summer.alot of people say that all of this stuff that i am doing is a pane in the butt but i dont mind it much it really fun. right know at the moment i have 50 animals yes it is a big resposibility but fun also!!!

my turkey hunt
my turkey hunt starts 4/2o/09 and ends 5/3/09 i will keep every day bloged. stay tuned
sunday: me and deryderM from bowcast.com went out and had a turkey gobble right off the roost. when we found out where he was we sat down and wated. he gobbled a few time's then when he stoped I got unpatient because I thougt he flew into a cow pasture and stood up and started talking to deryder and the turkey flew of the roost because he seen me.
tuseday: me and my mom went out and didnt get a gobble i think that i called a little to much.
wednesday: I took the day off of school and went hunting. It was my grandpa, uncle, and mom. we heard some gobbles but the turkey are not to hot right know they havnt even resopnded to a call yet. we didnt get anthang In the morning. In the after noon we heard a turkey gobble 3 times and it shut rigt up.
thersday: didn't go.
friday: well to everybody who follows my blog I am sorry I havnt said anythang about my turkey hunt since april. well friday me and my uncle seen 2 turkeys walk across the birnt fieald. so we trucked down the lane and I seen there was a hen and I knew that there was toms with her so I walked my way down the other side if the fence row were she couldnt see me. M y uncle finnaly said she is going to see us what do you want to do I said lets go back to the rock pile. we got to the rock pile and we seen 3 turkeys working there way down the tree line were the fieald and woods meets. so we got set up and wated finnal i seen the hen come out in rage and i thought well if a tom comes behined her i have him. well there wasnt exactly a tom with her it was 2 jakes but i decided that i was going to take the biggest jake. the jakes walked out to the fieald out of range and the hen seen me but not enough to run just enough to walk 30 yards down and go in well the first jake went in through the first gap and the throgh the second. then the biggest jake finnal came after what it seemed a year but only 30 seconds int the first gap my uncle said are you on him and i said yes he said (let em have it)! so I shot he went backwards got up i shot agin and he was at 40 yard then. then I shot once more when he was at 60 yards and the rest was his but high tailing it out of there.

about me
well i am 14 years old I live In michigan i live with a family of five mom, dad, brother, and sister. the outdoors is very important to me hunting and fishing has been my thang since I was born. so far i have bagged two tureys and three deer. my favorite thing to do is grab a family member or firend and hit the woods or lake!
